USGPRU Press Release:

Gerloff fastest in Moriwaki MD250H Powered by Honda final qualifying at Indy

Indianapolis, IN – 27 Aug 2010:

Garrett Gerloff came out on top after two rounds of qualifying on a sunny afternoon at the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix.  The Alabama rider set a blistering lap of 1:57.513 in the middle of the second session to take pole position by two seconds over Jake Lewis, who was not able to better his 1:59.611 time from the first session.  Nick McFadden was the only other Moriwaki MD250H rider to drop into the sub-two-minute lap time with a 1:59.879.  Peter Lenz will fill out the front row with a time of 2:00.350.

Joe Roberts leads row two, with Ben Young, Stefano Mesa, Ryan Matter, Austin Medrano and Andre Ochs on the same second.  The two races prove to be very entertaining as successful drafting and passing on the challenging Indianapolis Motor Speedway course will be the order of the day.
