In the 1st ProGP race of the season Jason Aguilar loses the front and goes sliding off the track. This was a disappointing start to the season, and the end of a long streak. Going back to August 2008, Jason had not had a DNF. It was only his 2nd DNF at a SCminiGP race going back to October 2006, his first time ever on a motorcycle. Team Aguilar got to work on the bike to see if it could be repaired enough to run the Pro Extreme final. With help from Paul Grasham, they were able to bend the rear set enough to get it out of the way of the suspension. Jason would make the final race.
Once again, Jason was not able to get a good start and dropped to 3rd place. Jason stuck a nice pass going into the first corner to move into 2nd place. However, Jason could not catch Aaron Villasenor to battle for the win and finished the race in 2nd Place. This marked the end of another long streak. This was the first SCminiGP weekend that Jason did not have a win since July 2008. Hopefully, Jason can return to the top of the podium soon, and start a new streak.
