This past weekend held the 3rd round of the Florida Winter AM series at Reddick MX.  I was only able to attend the first motos on Saturday but they didn’t fall short of good racing.

Ray Trasolini has been sweeping up the A and Pro classes the whole series but this weekend was a different story when Jessy Nelson lined up on the gate. Although Nelson was only racing the 250 classes due to his 450 being in California, he did nothing short of dominating 250 Pro and 250 A, winning both of his motos with an incredible lead. Robby Marshall was another Trasolini contender for the 250 /450 A and Pro classes. Marshall won 450 PRO and finished 2nd, behind Nelson, in 250 Pro, leaving Trasolini with only one win this weekend in the 450 A class.

Anthony Rodrigeus also had a dominating weekend by winning all four of his classes ( 250 B, 450 B, Four Stoke, and Schoolboy 14-16). Bradford Young, who won 250 B over Rodrigues last weekend at Dade City MX, was not far behind Rodrigues and finished 2nd both motos in the 250 B class.

Brinsley Dyess had another 1-1 weekend in the Women’s class. Although Dyess is obviously tough to beat, Amanda Brown was not going to let her win so easily. In the first moto on Saturday, Brown led the first few laps over Dyess. This pace allowed Brown and Dyess to gap the rest of the field and had a good battle for first place. In the end Dyess got around Brown for her 5th win this series.

Another captivating  battle took place in the Supermini 1 & 2 classes between Alexander Frye and Mitchell Harrison. This was the first weekend where both riders were present in the series. Battling in all four motos, it wasn’t evident who would win the overall until the weekend was over. In Supermini 1, Mitchell Harrison took the overall with a 2-1 with Alexander Frye in second with a 1-2. Supermini 2, Frye took both of the wins for a first overall with Harrison 2-2 and a second overall.

Some other noteworthy rides were by Tristan Lane (250C 450C), Hannah Hodges (Girls 12-15, 85 12-13, Supermini 1 12-15), Jordan Smith (Youth 12-16, Schoolboy 14-16, and 250 All) and Jalek Swoll ( 65 10-11, 65 Open,  85 9-11, 85 Jr mini).

Tristan Lane won 250c and 450C
